An opportunity for youth, ages 8-12, to learn the heritage art of weaving. Best of all, it's FREE! Limited to 20 youth - early registration is recommended.

About the event

Young artists, ages 8-12, will have the opportunity to learn the basics of weaving by creating their own small examples. Each participant will be provided with a cardboard loom, two skeins of yarn, and 2 plastic needles. They will go home with their project, their remaining yarn and needles, along with instructions explaining how to complete their weaving and/or start another one at home. This event is sponsored by the Washington City Arts Council and supported by Washington City RAP Tax. Limited to 20 youth participants and an adult helper. Each child must be accompanied by a teen or adult who will assist them as they create their weaving.
